Every second matters.
An earthquake early warning system allows children in school to drop and cover, ensures elevators doors open, slows our trains and subways, provides time to turn off gas lines, and allows doctors to stop sensitive surgeries.
Please sign the petition asking the Governor and Legislature to fund an earthquake early warning system.
The Earthquake Early Warning System would require $23 million to build out the infrastructure and $12 million annually. Once fully funded, the early warning system can be operational in less than two years.
Please view my Earthquake Preparedness in California page for more information on the Earthquake early warning system and local resources.
