Friday, May 27, 2016

(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Adrin Nazarian (D-Van Nuys), Chair of Budget Sub-Committee #4 on State Administration, Assembly Speaker Anthony Rendon (D-Paramount), Budget Committee Chair Phil Ting (D-San Francisco) and the chairs of the four other budget subcommittees met with the media to discuss the Assembly budget plan developed after more than 70 hearings over the past five months. Assemblymember Nazarian says the overall Assembly budget proposal is a responsible, fiscally prudent plan that reinvests in many programs that were slashed during the recession while still including a healthy reserve. Assemblymember Nazarian says the Assembly plan includes funding for many of the state buildings that have fallen into disrepair and money to boost the state’s affordable housing supply.
