(Sacramento) – Assemblymember Adrin Nazarian (D-Sherman Oaks) recently led the State Assembly in a special observance of the Persian New Year and the passage of Assembly Concurrent Resolution 91 marking March 20th as the official start of the Persian New Year.  Assemblymember Nazarian told his fellow lawmakers, “A resolution to celebrate “Nowruz” – or New Day – is the first of its kind in California and its long overdue, given that over half of all Iranian immigrants in the United States live in the State of California.” Here’s more in this Assembly Access video.
