Help with Rent and Utilities Available Now
The COVID-19 pandemic has caused major challenges for both renters and landlords in our community. Thankfully, I’ve been able to work with my colleagues in the State Legislature to extend eviction protections through September 30, 2021. We’ve also allocated billions of dollars in rent relief to help renters and landlords who need financial assistance.
The CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program provides financial assistance to income-eligible Californians who have been impacted by COVID-19. Both renters and landlords can apply for assistance, and the program now covers 100% of unpaid rent. If you’ve already received funds, you can be further compensated based on the new guidelines. For additional information, please call the COVID-19 Rent Relief Hotline at 833-430-2122.
