Second Annual Valley Community Leadership Awards
Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel hosted a special awards ceremony recognizing the achievements and contributions of 13 individuals and organizations who have positively impacted the San Fernando Valley over the past year. Honorees include educators, activists, small business owners, and notable civic and community leaders. Honorees will be presented with special resolutions from the California Legislature acknowledging their service to the San Fernando Valley.

Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel Presents $2 Million Check to Support Cutting-Edge Research and Innovation at the Warner Center
Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel presented a novelty check to the West Valley Warner Center Chamber of Commerce symbolizing the recent appropriation in the state budget of $2 million towards the Transportation Technology Infrastructure and Innovation Zone (TTIIZ), a first-of-its-kind center to support transportation technology businesses and research cutting-edge transportation and mobility technology.
TTIIZ was first established in 2020 as one of the flagship programs of Urban Movement Labs and aims to transform the Warner Center neighborhood into one of Los Angeles’ mobility innovation and workforce development hubs.
Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel Presents $3.7 Million Check to ONEgeneration to Expand Childcare Services in the San Fernando Valley
Assemblymember Jesse Gabriel presented a novelty check to ONEgeneration symbolizing the recent appropriation in the state budget of $3.7 million to support ONEgeneration’s childcare expansion and Intergenerational Activity Room project.
For over 44 years, ONEgeneration has provided vital community services to vulnerable residents in the San Fernando Valley, enriching and supporting the lives of older adults, children, and families. Assemblymember Gabriel recognized ONEgeneration as the 45th Assembly District Nonprofit of the Year in 2021 for their outstanding work during the COVID-19 pandemic.
